Are you annoyed by the Government? PDF Print E-mail
Are you infuriated by the planning process or anything else in government for that matter?

Perhaps, The Sustainable Communities Act 2007 offers an opportunity.  It is possible for anyone to submit ideas on how national Government could improve local communities by changing the way it currently does things.

All ideas submitted have to be considered by a Panel which covers a wide range of local organisations.  In Wiltshire it has been decided that the Implementation Executive for the new Wiltshire Council will consider the Panel’s advice before deciding which ideas it wishes to submit to Government. It will consider this matter at its meeting on 13 May 2009.

As you can see from the leaflet organisations and members of the public are able to submit ideas:
  • via an online form and then following the link on the home page to the ‘Sustainable Communities Act
  • by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it at Wiltshire County Council
  • by dropping a note in a box provided for this purpose in public libraries in the County
Ideas are needed by 24 April 2009.
If your ideas have a specific relevance to Purton, please copy them to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will try to feed into our Transform Purton.
