Ridgeway Farm For reference, the current situation is: 200 at Moredon Bridge - Planning permission granted 800 at Ridgeway Farm - Proposals being presented at a Public Exhibition 1,200 at The Pry - Proposals still anticipated The Coalition Government has said in its recently published Programme that the Government is to "... rapidly abolish Regional Spatial Strategies and return decision-making powers on housing and planning to local councils..." Thus the basis for these houses needs to be reviewed since they were first allocated by central government and a now-defunct quango. This Exhibition does not meet the requirements of a properly-constituted public consultation and it also clashes with the Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board - which is being held at Cricklade at 7 p.m. It is clearly being rushed through to try to pre-empt a re-consideration of the basis for 3000 houses as allocated in the RSS.
