The following planning applications are out for comment (C), coming up for a decision (D) have been refused (R) or have gone to appeal (A):

Parking and Waiting
Changes are afoot to the parking and waiting arrangements in Purton. It is complex and the proposals may not suit all. Comments were submitted in May 2009 and we are now awaiting the actual work to be undertaken to see if it works in practice.

Widham Farm/Widham Grove (A) ~ this was recently the subject of a public inquiry and the application was dismissed.  Unfortunately, the land owner still insists on turning the fields in houses and we anticipate a further application.  WATCH THIS SPACE

Moredon Bridge PDF Print E-mail
This was a planning application for 200 houses at the extreme end of the parish.  After refusal by the district council, the developer appealed and there was a public inquiry.  The inquiry opened on 16 December 2008 and took evidence for three days and then adjourned until 17 February 2009.

Ps and Qs took the stand on 18 February and presented its case against the development.

Parkgate Farm PDF Print E-mail
This is a request by Hills to vary one of the planning conditions ~ we advised the county council that the original application was incomplete.

Further information has been received and is broadly acceptable, provided that on-site ditches are maintained to avoid flooding on adjacent land.
